Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee Two years ago, Harley Davidson broke ground on its future museum site at Sixth and Canal Streets in Milwaukee, where it has been based for more than 100 years. The groundbreaking ceremony was as unique as the company itself. Instead of the traditional golden shovel, the ground was broken with a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Legendary Harley Davidson dirt track racer Scott Parker performed a burnout on a XL 883R Sportster. As for the Harley-Davidson Museum, it will open in 2008 and will celebrate the legendary motorcycles and passionate riders along with the company’s rich history. Green spaces adjacent to the edge of the Menomonee River will be an ideal spot for riders and HOG Members to meet and share stories.
